About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Dementia Adviser. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As a Dementia Adviser, you will play a critical role in supporting people diagnosed with dementia and their carers, helping them to access vital services and maintain their independence. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dementia and its impact on individuals and families, as well as experience working with a wide range of people and professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored support and guidance to individuals affected by dementia and their carers.
- Identifying and addressing the needs of service users, providing information and access to relevant services.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals and other organisations to promote our Dementia Advice service and achieve positive outcomes for people affected by dementia.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting on programme activities and outcomes.

Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work, Nursing, or related field preferred. If not, significant experience working with vulnerable adults and/or people affected by dementia.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to meet the needs of diverse individuals and groups.
- Excellent IT skills, with experience using databases and virtual meeting software (Teams / Zoom).
- Ability to travel across the local area independently when required.
