Lead English Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead English Teacher to join our team at an exceptional Secondary school in Westbury. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead subject teaching responsibility, ensuring all pupils develop their knowledge and skills and make good progress in their learning.
  • Collaborate with the Head Teacher and Leadership team to deliver a sequenced curriculum that builds knowledge and skills towards agreed end points.
  • Effectively monitor the progress of each pupil, checking their understanding systematically and putting in place clearly directed and timely intervention.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS/PGCE) preferred, but other recognised teaching qualification considered.
  • Experience of teaching to secondary class/group.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver appropriate curriculum using a range of teaching styles and methodologies.
  • Experience within an SEN setting an advantage.
