Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pharmacist to lead our clinical pharmacy service at Birmingham Women's Hospital. As a key member of our Transformation Unit, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality, proactive, and patient-focused clinical pharmacy services across maternity, gynaecology, and neonatal directorates.

The ideal candidate will have substantial hospital experience, including a minimum of three years post-qualification experience, and expertise within women's health and neonatal pharmacy. You will be responsible for leading, developing, and delivering the clinical pharmacy service, ensuring all patients receive outstanding pharmaceutical care.

You will work closely with the pharmacy team to deliver service improvement projects, enhance patient care, efficiency, quality, and safety across various clinical areas. Additionally, you will support clinical governance processes, investigating incidents where required, and contribute to guideline/policy development to ensure safe and effective use of medicines compliant with relevant legislation.

In this role, you will also take on leadership responsibilities, supervising, motivating, and supporting the team to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. Your analytical and judgement skills will enable you to analyse data on medication use and make recommendations on prescribing practice.
