As a Senior Clinical Pharmacy Manager - Trauma and Critical Care at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality clinical and operational services to critical care and trauma patients. The estimated salary for this role is £54,341 - £74,581 per annum.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham boasts the largest single Critical Care Unit in Europe, with 100 bed spaces, and is one of the four major trauma centres in the West Midlands. This specialist role offers a unique opportunity to further develop your clinical pharmacy skills, as well as gain additional expertise in governance, medicines expenditure, and guideline development.

Key responsibilities
  • To lead and manage a team of pharmacists and technicians in the provision of clinical pharmacy services to critical care and trauma patients.
  • To develop and implement policies and procedures related to medicines management in critical care and trauma settings.
  • To provide leadership and directorate/service support roles to the trauma services, and within critical care.

The ideal candidate will have significant post-registration work experience as a pharmacist in hospital pharmacy, or the ability to demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge. They will also possess relevant clinical knowledge in hospital pharmacy and current issues.
