About the Opportunity

CV-Library is looking for an experienced Cloud-Based Data Architect to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud-based data platform using AWS services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in building and maintaining scalable and efficient data pipelines. You will also be proficient in Python, with knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL. PySpark, Scala, or Java is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cloud Architecture Design:
    Design scalable and efficient cloud architecture using AWS services.
  2. Data Pipeline Development:
    Develop and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using AWS services.
  3. Infrastructure Management:
    Manage and optimize our data infrastructure using AWS services.
  4. Machine Learning Operations:
    Establish ML Ops practices within the data engineering framework, focusing on automation, monitoring, and optimization of machine learning pipelines.

Requirements:

Experience:

  1. 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record in building and maintaining data platforms, preferably on AWS.
  2. Strong proficiency in Python, experience in SQL and PostgreSQL. PySpark, Scala, or Java is a plus.

Skills:

  1. Deep understanding of cloud-based data architectures and best practices.
  2. Proficiency in designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL/ELT workflows.
  3. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Estimated Salary: £62,000 - £67,000 per annum.
