Emotional Nurturing Practitioner

Bristol, Bristol, United Kingdom Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust Full time

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to promoting emotional wellbeing in babies and children up to school age. Our multidisciplinary team prioritizes continuing professional development and clinical supervision.

You will work closely with parents and children to address difficulties around activities such as sleeping, feeding, and toileting, or bonding with their child. The service aims to provide a comprehensive approach informed by the CYP IAPT programme.

Using child-led play, you will gain insight into a child's feelings and thoughts, while parent and child sessions will explore the parent-child relationship and help parents understand their baby's behavior.

Sessions with parents alone will provide a safe space for reflection on past and present experiences, enabling them to find a way forward for themselves and their child.

We require a professional with appropriate qualifications and experience working with families and young children/infants, such as family therapy, child psychology, social work, or relevant infant mental health training.

The estimated salary for this position is £48,750 per annum, based on the title, job description, and location.
