We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Support Worker to join our dedicated team at the NHS. As a key member of our care team, you will provide respite, palliative and bereavement care to children with life-limiting conditions, working closely with families to understand their unique needs and preferences.

With a focus on delivering exceptional patient-centered care, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to address the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of children and their families. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping us create a supportive and nurturing environment that makes a real difference in the lives of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • To develop and maintain relationships with children and their families, fostering trust and understanding.
  • To work flexibly alongside families, supporting them in their preferred manner and maintaining close liaison with other practitioners and agencies involved in their care.
  • To contribute to the creation of a homely and welcoming environment, promoting comfort and relaxation for children and families.

The successful candidate will possess a relevant professional qualification in children's healthcare or a related field, with experience working with children and families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. A salary of £38,000 - £45,000 per annum reflects the importance of this role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.
