Merrifield Consultants is partnering with a leading children's hospice to find a seasoned Marketing Communications Executive to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a meaningful impact in the charity sector.

Job Title: Marketing Communications Executive

Organisation: Children's Hospice

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Location: Flexible (remote work options available)

Contract: One year Fixed Term Contract (Maternity cover)

Job Responsibilities:

This role is focused on developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to raise awareness of the charity's brand and charitable purpose. The Marketing Communications Executive will work closely with the Fundraising team to meet their objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute press releases to promote fundraising initiatives
  • Maintain strong relationships with press stakeholders

Stewardship:

  • Continuously develop audience segmentation and user experience strategies
  • Design and implement acquisition and retention campaigns, monitoring ROI

Case Studies:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging video and written case studies within budget
  • Maximize and report on the reach and impact of all case studies
  • Manage content requests and the content management platform

Website and Social Media:

  • Develop a content schedule that showcases care and fundraising initiatives
  • Ensure website content is inclusive and accessible
  • Manage a varied content schedule in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Create engaging content that reflects hospice services

Video Production:

  • Produce, film, and edit videos that highlight daily life at the hospices and family interviews
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and filmmakers
  • Create videos for the Fundraising team

Advertising:

  • Manage planning, performance, and reporting of digital ad campaigns

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of delivering impactful marketing campaigns focused on audience acquisition and retention
  • Demonstrable experience in content creation and management
  • Proven ability to foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in managing local and national press schedules
  • Excellent working knowledge of key social networking sites
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, such as PECR and GDPR
  • Educated to degree level or experience in a comparable role
  • Strong working knowledge of video editing, videography, photography, and interview skills
  • Good working knowledge of email marketing software and automated journeys
  • Good experience of Content Management systems
  • Experience with CRM databases
  • Design experience, including the use of Photoshop, InDesign, or similar packages
  • Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft suites
