Job Title: Primary Care Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in Primary Care Mental Health Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering holistic assessment and evidence-based care to clients within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency primary mental health service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing mental health needs within a primary care setting and managing a clinical caseload.
  • Delivering brief, short-term, and low-intensity psychological interventions based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution-Focused approaches.
  • Providing information, CCBT, and self-help for people with common mental health disorders.
  • Assisting in the running of psycho-educational groups.
  • Mental health promotion involving the development of effective relationships between primary care and local communities and other services in the voluntary and statutory sector.
  • Providing support and advice to GPs and other primary care providers.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (Mental Health), Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist.
  • Evidence of post-registration continuing professional development activity.
  • Relevant degree-level qualification (desirable).
