The primary objective of this role is to provide exceptional patient care for individuals undergoing endoscopic procedures. As a key member of the Endoscopy Department, you will be responsible for assisting the Endoscopist and supporting patients throughout the procedure, prioritizing patient safety and dignity at all times.
Main Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of patients under the supervision of the Endoscopy Department's lead, ensuring adherence to established standards of patient care.
- Maintain high standards of patient care, adhering to policies and procedures set by the department.
- Ensure effective communication and education in health promotion, reflecting the quality standards and mission of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
- Assist in the operational management of the Endoscopy Unit, as required, and contribute to the development of the department's policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Clinical Specialists and Clinical Nurse Specialists to address individual patient needs.
- Ensure the maintenance of equipment and supplies, optimizing efficiency and minimizing costs.
- Participate in the Out-of-Hours on-call rota, supporting consultant staff in managing emergency patient care.
