About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Residential Care Manager to join our team at Nurtured Talent International. As a Registered Manager of one of our Ofsted-rated GOOD children's residential homes, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each young person.
  • Complete company induction and personal development plans to ensure a strong team.
  • Foster consultation and develop systems to consult young people about their care.
  • Assign a key worker to each young person to implement their childcare plan.
  • Establish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
  • Handle complaints and concerns, taking responsibility for addressing any issues.
  • Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of our young people.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to child care planning and review meetings as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to start within 6 months of employment.
  • Driving license and understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
