Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and diplomatic individual to join our Estates Team as a Facilities Manager for the Greenlands Campus. As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing an effective and prompt customer-focused service to the University, using your prior knowledge and experience to manage maintenance issues and supervise trade operatives.

You will be someone who can navigate the competing needs of the department to offer a 5-star service while being aware of budget limitations. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will enable you to work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the physical fabric of the Greenlands Campus, including buildings, equipment, and grounds.
  • Provide professional and efficient service to the University, responding to queries and requests in a timely manner.
  • Supervise trade operatives and contractors, ensuring that they meet the required standards and quality expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, using software packages to deliver hard and soft FM services.
Requirements
  • R epresentative qualification in a mechanical or electrical related discipline (minimum requirement equivalent to NVQ level 3).
  • Experience in all aspects of planned, preventative, and day-to-day reactive maintenance issues.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing health and safety for a workforce and current statutory requirements relating to building fabric and services.
  • Demonstrable customer service skills, particularly in a similar environment.
