About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to lead our Children's Home in Towcester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Comprehensive Care Plans: Create tailored plans that address the unique needs of each young person, including their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
  • Build and Lead a Strong Team: Recruit, train, and develop a skilled team of care professionals who share your commitment to delivering exceptional care.
  • Foster Open Communication: Develop systems to consult with young people about their care and involve them in decision-making processes.
  • Allocate Key Workers: Assign a dedicated Key Worker to each young person to implement their care plan and provide ongoing support.
  • Maintain High Standards: Establish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with our quality standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
  • Handle Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for addressing any complaints or child protection concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of our young residents.
  • Participate in Meetings: Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings as appropriate.
  • Embody a Safe Culture: Ensure the children in our care receive the highest level of care and support in a safe and nurturing environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Relevant Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
  • Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to start within 6 months of employment.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements. Efficient in planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership. Confidence in effective spoken and written communication. Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license required.
