Opus People Solutions is seeking a Lead Manager for Children's Residential Care.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee a 5-bed home specializing in children with emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD). Your leadership will be essential in ensuring that every child receives exceptional care and support tailored to their needs.

Key Offerings:

  • Attractive salary package up to approximately £55,000, negotiable based on your experience.
  • Standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
  • Generous annual leave of 25 days plus bank holidays.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Continuously assess and refine care plans for each child, designating Key Workers to execute these plans effectively.
  • Maintain exemplary care standards in accordance with National Minimum Standards and the home's guiding principles.
  • Implement quality assurance strategies and actively seek feedback from the children.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and professionals to safeguard the welfare of the children.
  • Engage in child care planning and review sessions.
  • Recruit, onboard, and oversee staff, providing them with development opportunities and encouraging open communication.
  • Oversee financial management and budgeting.

Candidate Requirements:

  • In-depth understanding of children with BESD and effective management of challenging behaviors.
  • Proven leadership and communication abilities.
  • Dedication to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and resource management skills.
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children within the last 5 years, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or senior role in residential care.
  • Capability to inspire and support team members.
  • NVQ Level 4 in Caring for Children & Young People (or equivalent) or actively pursuing this qualification.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and best practices in children's residential care.
