Children's Home Manager

Opus People Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a 5-bed EBD children's residential home in Towcester.

As the manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring each child receives exceptional care and support. We encourage applications from individuals with strong supervisory experience within residential childcare, such as Deputy Managers or Team Leaders seeking career advancement.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary up to £55,000 (negotiable based on experience)

Responsibilities
  • Regularly review and update care plans for each child, assigning Key Workers to implement these plans effectively.
  • Maintain high care standards in accordance with National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
  • Develop quality assurance measures and actively seek feedback from young people to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to prioritize the well-being of each child.
  • Participate in childcare planning and review meetings to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
  • Recruit, induct, and supervise staff members, providing development plans and fostering open communication within the team.
  • Manage budgets effectively to ensure efficient resource allocation.
Requirements
  • A deep understanding of EBD children and experience in managing challenging behaviors.
  • Strong management and communication skills, enabling effective leadership and collaboration.
  • An unwavering commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children.
  • Proven ability in planning, organizing, and allocating resources effectively.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children within the past 5 years, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or senior position in residential care.
  • Ability to motivate and support staff members to achieve their full potential.
  • NVQ Level 4 in Caring for Children & Young People (or equivalent) or actively working towards it.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in children's residential care.
