About the Role

As a Newly Qualified Social Worker, you will play a vital role in assessing and intervening with vulnerable families across North and South Kirklees.

You will be responsible for building strong relationships with service users, providing expert guidance and support to help them achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assess and develop plans to support children and families in need.
  2. Work closely with internal teams, including children's services, education, and healthcare providers.
  3. Collaborate with external agencies to ensure effective case management and coordination.
  4. Develop and maintain professional relationships with service users, ensuring empathy and understanding.
  5. Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to data protection protocols.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A social work qualification (BA/BSc Hons or equivalent).
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in a child protection setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £32,076 - £34,834 per annum, pro-rata for part-time positions. In addition, we provide:
