Safeguarding Children Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Safeguarding Children Specialist to join our team at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Safeguarding Team, you will work closely with our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Portsmouth, supporting the development and delivery of high-quality safeguarding practice.
Main Responsibilities- Contribute to the health component of the MASH service, working collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure effective decision-making and early intervention.
- Provide specialist safeguarding support and advice to healthcare colleagues, MASH teams, and other stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Evidence of recent community practitioner experience, preferably in safeguarding children.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-agency environment, communicating complex information to various stakeholders.
The estimated salary for this role is £38,320-£43,911 per annum, based on full-time hours.
