About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our Compass team in Bakewell. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health support to children and young people in educational settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing issues
  • Support designated senior mental health leads in each setting
  • Provide timely advice to school and college staff and parents as required
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a core professional qualification relevant to mental health, such as CWP IAPT, PMHW, nursing with specialism in mental health or learning disability nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Professional qualification relevant to mental health CBT therapist. You will also need to have evidence of continued professional development.

Desirable qualifications include a teaching qualification, Youth Mental Health First Aid training, and a therapeutic postgraduate qualification (preferably in CBT).
