Our Mission at Derwent Lodge

Derwent Lodge is a CQC registered nursing service that provides compassionate care and support to up to 16 individuals experiencing severe mental health challenges. Our welcoming and comfortable environment fosters recovery and independence, empowering residents to achieve their personal goals.

Your Role as a Support Worker

As a Mental Health Support Worker at Derwent Lodge, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents on their journey to recovery. You will work closely with individuals, providing practical assistance, emotional support, and encouragement to help them regain their confidence and participate in everyday activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations to promote social interaction and emotional well-being.
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities that support their recovery goals, such as hobbies, exercise, or community outings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including registered nurses, deputy managers, and registered managers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care and progress.
