Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our Bakewell MHST. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to provide evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing issues.
Main Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 therapeutic mental health interventions with children and young people
- Work with families to support their mental health and wellbeing
- Collaborate with educational settings to increase mental health awareness among staff
- Conduct mental health assessments and risk assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Core professional qualification relevant to mental health (e.g. CWP, IAPT, PMHW, nursing with specialism in mental health or learning disability nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work)
- Experience of working with children and young people, their families, and other agencies
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues, capacity and consent, and Gillick competence
- Ability to work within educational settings and with a wide variety of agencies and stakeholders
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
