Job Overview

In this exciting role, you will be part of the National Grid Electricity Distribution team, working on power networks that serve over 8 million people in the Midlands, Southwest England, and South Wales. As an Overhead Lines Advanced Apprentice, you will develop your skills in constructing, maintaining, testing, repairing, and replacing overhead lines and equipment.

Your training will include periods of on-the-job learning, where you will work with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience and knowledge. You will also earn a competitive salary of £17,649 per year, which will increase as you gain more experience.

The apprenticeship programme takes approximately three years to complete and is fully funded. Upon completion, you will achieve a City & Guilds Level 2 Qualification in Electrical Engineering and become a qualified Power Networks Craftsperson.
