Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream school in South Harrow. The successful candidate will work closely with a child with Autism in Year 5, providing support and assistance to ensure their academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to the student with Autism, adapting to their unique needs and learning style.
  • Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring the student's inclusion and participation.
  • Monitor and record the student's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support the student's needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of the student's progress and any concerns.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with special needs, preferably Autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment.
  • Right to work in the UK and experience working in the UK.
