Job Title: Special Needs Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Assistant to join our team at a mainstream school in Harrow. The successful candidate will work closely with a child with Autism in Year 4, providing support and assistance to ensure their academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to the student with Autism, adapting to their unique needs and requirements.
  • Assist the teacher in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the student's social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and psychologists to ensure the student receives comprehensive support.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting the student.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with special needs, preferably Autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Experience working in the UK.
