About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work with a child with Autism in a mainstream primary school in Harrow.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with a child with Autism in Year 3, providing individual support and assistance as needed
  • Collaborating with the teaching staff to develop and implement strategies to support the child's learning and inclusion
  • Assisting with lesson planning and preparation, as well as supervising students during breaks and activities
  • Providing a safe and supportive environment for the child to learn and grow

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with special needs, preferably with Autism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and parents
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
  • Ability to focus on the job at hand, with a strong attention to detail
  • Right to work in the UK, with experience working in the UK an advantage
