Job Title: Senior Special Education Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Special Education Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with Autism in a Year 6 setting, providing exceptional support to facilitate their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the teacher and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with Autism, helping them to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring that all activities are tailored to meet the needs of students with special needs.
  • Collaborate with the school's SENCO and psychologists to ensure that students receive comprehensive support and guidance.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with Autism or other special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • A patient and understanding approach, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Right to work in the UK and relevant qualifications or training.
