Job Title: Special Needs Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Assistant to join our team at a mainstream school in Harrow. The successful candidate will work closely with a child with Autism in Year 2, providing support and assistance to ensure their academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to the student with Autism, adapting to their unique needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff and SENCO to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience.
  • Support the student's social and emotional development, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with special needs, preferably Autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, understanding, and a willingness to adapt to changing situations.
  • Right to work in the UK and experience working in the UK.
