Job Title: Special Needs Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Assistant to join our team at a mainstream school in Harrow. The successful candidate will work closely with a child with Autism in Year 2, providing support and assistance to ensure their academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to the student with Autism, adapting to their unique needs and requirements
  • Assist the teacher in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the student's social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and psychologists to ensure the student receives comprehensive support
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with special needs, personal experience or relevant degree
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain patient and understanding in challenging situations
  • Right to work in the UK and experience working in the UK
