Regional New Business Development Manager

Cloud 9 Recruitment is partnering with a leading Global Packaging Group to find a talented Regional New Business Development Manager for the East Midlands, Yorkshire, and M62 corridor. This role is designed to attract experienced professionals with a strong track record in new business development within the Packaging arena.

We are seeking a solutions seller with an entrepreneurial flair to join our client's strategic team. As a Regional New Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing key new business opportunities in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and develop new business opportunities for the region, with a focus on securing deals worth circa £750k - £1million per annum.
  • Develop and implement new business sales strategies to attract key opportunities at potential new customers with a packaging spend of £200k upwards per annum.
  • Generate a pipeline of suitable leads, arrange and attend meetings to discuss customer requirements, and provide full product knowledge and packaging solutions.
  • Negotiate pricing with customers and ensure repeat and new business opportunities by building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Research and identify market trends and competitor activity to measure demand for new products and services.
Requirements:
  • Experience working within the packaging industry in a field sales position is essential.
  • Able to demonstrate a creative, positive, and enthusiastic approach to new business development.
  • Personable and an excellent relationship builder.
  • Ability to demonstrate successful history of securing new business and developing a region.
  • Enthusiastic, confident, and driven in securing new business.
  • Good commercial acumen and excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence to converse on all levels.
  • Results-driven and self-motivated.
  • Can-do attitude and embraces new challenges.
  • Strong IT skills and experience of working with a CRM platform.
  • Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
