About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing highly specialized clinical health psychology pathways for patients living with cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality psychological therapies and assessments for patients with cancer, in line with best available evidence.
  • Provide clinical supervision to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high standards of psychological practice.
  • Facilitate triage meetings and contribute to highly specialist clinical health psychology discussions for patients living with cancer.
  • Work closely with consultant clinical psychologists, clinical colleagues, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of care.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of the service, including routine research, audit, and evaluation.
Person Specification

We are looking for a registered Clinical Psychologist with experience of working with patients with a wide range of psychological problems, including community mental health and long-term health conditions. You will have a strong background in psychological assessment and treatment, as well as experience of teaching, training, and supervision.

Desirable qualifications include post-qualification training in evidence-based therapies, leadership training, and experience of working with people with cancer or long-term physical health conditions.
