Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Intensive Support Team (IST) in Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The IST is a service designed to support individuals with a learning disability who are struggling with mental health crisis and/or behavioural distress. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will work as part of the IST leadership group, providing a Clinical Psychology Service, including enhanced specialist psychological assessment and therapy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessments and therapy to individuals with a learning disability
  • Work with the IST leadership group to develop and implement clinical strategies
  • Offer advice and consultation on individuals' psychological needs
  • Develop detailed formulations incorporating a psychological framework
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology or equivalent
  • Experience of supporting people with a learning disability
  • Knowledge of legislation and its implications in relation to the client group and mental health
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
