Special Needs Educator for Deaf Children in Bradford

Bradford Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teacher of the Deaf to join their team in Bradford, UK.
Salary: MPS / UPS + 2 SEN (Teachers pay and Conditions) approximately £34,494 - £53,706 per annum.

Job Summary: We are looking for an innovative and experienced Qualified Teacher to support deaf children and their families in Bradford. The ideal candidate will have current experience working with children who have severe and profound additional and complex needs.
Responsibilities:- Provide expert support to special school teachers, early years settings, and parents/carers in developing approaches and provision for deaf children with additional needs.
- Orientate outcomes for deaf children with complex needs by planning, assessing, teaching, training, and supporting staff using a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Offer balanced, unbiased advice and support to families enabling them to make informed choices for their deaf children.
- Collaborate with agencies involved in services to deaf children.
Requirements: Applications are welcome from qualified Teachers of the Deaf with substantial experience in teaching children with complex needs. However, we would also consider outstanding qualified teachers with significant experience in teaching children with severe and profound additional complex needs who are interested in developing their career in working with deaf children. The service is willing to support successful candidates to undertake the mandatory qualification if required.
