About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Training Coordinator to join our team at Galliford Try. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the development of individuals within the business and upholding the minimum levels of core competency.

You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering training needs across the organization, ensuring seamless coordination and record-keeping. Your primary goal will be to make sure everything flows smoothly, from coordinating training to maintaining detailed records that reflect our competency requirements and business objectives.

About the Job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and plan training events as required, including all types of training.
  • Create and maintain competencies, in line with core competency requirements, reflecting the needs of the business.
  • Efficiently arrange all training courses, including venues, refreshments, joining instructions, and other ancillary requirements.
  • Liaise with delegates and prospective delegates to acknowledge bookings and provide details about courses.
  • Raise and notify suppliers of purchase order numbers as soon as courses have been confirmed.
  • Create and maintain learning and training records, generating monthly training reports.
  • Complete CITB Grant and Apprenticeship Levy administrative tasks as agreed throughout the financial year.
  • Accurately prepare and dispatch joining instructions.
  • Accurately collate and prepare course materials as required.
  • Ensure renewal dates for existing competencies do not lapse and certificates are renewed as needed.
  • Compile reports and management information as directed for audit purposes.
  • Check and update all course costs following training events.
  • Check and process all training certificates.
  • Ensure certificates are dispatched to the appropriate delegates.
  • Follow up on any delayed or missing certificates with suppliers.
  • Prepare reports to keep Senior Management Teams informed on process, compliance, and any arising issues within your area of responsibility.
  • Manage the provision of confidential and sensitive information.
About You

Requirements:

  • Able to organize and plan own workload to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Possess excellent customer care skills when dealing with suppliers, internal customers, and complaints.
  • Able to liaise and communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Able to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Willingsness to participate in the development of new processes and in team activities.
  • Displays a positive and helpful attitude to customers at all times.
  • Provide a high-quality service by telephone and email.
  • Act promptly to resolve customer complaints or refer promptly if appropriate.
  • Keep customers informed of progress and what has been done.
  • Experience of working in a complex, multi-contracted environment.
  • Experience of e-learning and other online methodologies.
  • Computer literate with knowledge and experience of Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Involvement of external funding bodies and experience of data processes required would be useful.
  • Experience of coordinating a team and providing support to other team members.
