About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Markets Editor to join our team at Fastmarkets. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for driving our PRA strategy in the biofuels and feedstock markets, ensuring the delivery of high-quality prices and market-leading content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a content strategy to drive market engagement and visibility in the battery raw materials/energy transition markets
  • Collaborate with the broader business to plan engagement and lead the biofuels and feedstock team to engage with market participants and exchanges
  • Identify and produce high-level content, including insightful market reporting, in-depth focus pieces, and interviews
  • Work with the Editorial Director and Managing Regional Editors to define and plan priorities for strategic content and customer engagement
  • Guide and mentor reporters and provide strategic and functional direction to the team
Requirements
  • Strong journalism skills and writing flair
  • A network of contacts and strong industry relations, ideally in the battery raw materials field
  • Experience of working in a PRA and pricing a benchmark or developing prices
  • Deep knowledge of the battery raw materials market or associated markets
  • Ability to operate at the highest levels internally within a matrix management structure and with external stakeholders
  • Public speaking experience or demonstrable ability to do so with confidence and authority
