About the Role:
Fastmarkets is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Markets Editor to join our team. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for driving our PRA strategy in the biofuels and feedstock markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy to drive market engagement and visibility in the battery raw materials/energy transition markets.
- Collaborate with the broader business to plan engagement and lead the biofuels and feedstock team to engage with market participants and exchanges.
- Identify and produce high-level content, including insightful market reporting, in-depth focus pieces, and interviews, to drive market engagement and visibility.
- Assess and approve prices for certain strategic markets as required, and ensure all prices produced by reporters meet Fastmarkets' and its regulators' rigorous standards.
- Align strategic content with marketing and across customer interfaces: editorial, events, client presentations, and meetings.
- Partners with the Editorial Director and Managing Regional Editors to define and plan priorities for strategic content and customer engagement in a specific market group.
- Engage with reporters and Editorial Operations to guide and support a joined-up approach to high-impact strategic content.
- Collaborate with the Events team to grow delegate lists and create compelling agendas, maximizing the reach and impact of content-driven events.
- Align content approach with strategic goals of the Marketing team, ensuring consistency of message and strength of impact.
- Work with product and strategy teams to align and showcase the value of our content on the customer dashboard, driving adoption and engagement.
- Engage with research to produce content that is aligned with internal forecasting, enhancing its relevance and value.
Requirements:
- Strong journalism skills and writing flair.
- A network of contacts and strong industry relations, ideally in the battery raw materials field.
- Strategic thinking, with the ability to think critically and strategically about the long-term goals of the organization.
- Market analysis, with strong analytical skills to assess market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
- Data-driven decision-making to guide product development and market positioning.
- Financial literacy to assess the viability and profitability of new initiatives.
- Risk management, with skill in assessing and managing risks associated with new price launches.
- Project management, with strong project management skills to ensure timely and successful implementation of new initiatives.
- Networking and relationship building, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and industry influencers.
