About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer to join our team at Primary Care Careers. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and delivering business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our overall strategy and business plan, driving operational excellence to deliver financial sustainability.
  • Work with our board and key stakeholders to develop an integrated strategy aligned with our ethos and agenda.
  • Develop and implement robust performance management arrangements, ensuring effective reporting, management, and escalation of service performance.
  • Actively participate in board meetings, preparing reports and presentations to highlight performance and facilitate discussion.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders, providing information, advice, and guidance to support business needs.

Requirements

  • Education to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a management discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in producing and analyzing healthcare data, delivering clinical activity, and quality assurance reports.
  • Proven understanding of budget setting and experience in delivering business objectives within tight budgets.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders and facilitate business goals.
  • Ability to influence and persuade others to gain acceptance and agreement with ideas and approaches.
  • Understanding of the interface between directors, management, and clinical delivery.
  • Experience in managing and developing personnel, including appraisal, performance, and recruitment.
