MacKenzie King is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the finance team and manage all aspects of financial control and reporting.
  • Implement new processes and ways of working to ensure financial operating effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the Company's objectives and KPI's by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.
Financial Strategy

As a Head of Finance, you will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.

  • Work closely with the Managing Director to develop and implement financial growth and productivity projects.
  • Proactively engage with and support members of the senior management team to execute the corporate strategy.
Accounting & Budgets

You will be responsible for ensuring that cash is available to meet operational and capital demands, as well as managing a reliable short- and long-term forecast.

  • Manage and develop the overall financial budget and work closely with department managers to develop functional budgets that are realistic and achievable.
Management Information

You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, timely, and accurate delivery of insightful management information, including management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, and relevant indicators of business performance.

  • Ensure that management information is presented in a clear and concise manner, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
Administration and Systems

You will be responsible for managing and continuously improving financial systems, processes, and policies to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the Company.

  • Administration of the Company's financial assets, including cost control and development/implementation of cost reduction strategies.
  • Ensure that the Company complies with all relevant statutory financial procedures, regulations, and reporting.
  • Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide best value for the Company.
  • Ensure that robust controls, checks, and balances are in place to ensure the business meets its cash targets and highlights any issues.
Stakeholder Management

You will be responsible for effectively managing and nurturing the relationship with external stakeholders, including banks and auditors, to the benefit of the Company.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and other external partners.
People Management

You will be responsible for managing and developing the finance team to be a high-performing, productive, and motivated team.

  • Coach and support team members with their learning and qualifications.
