We are seeking a Lead Financial Reporting Analyst to become a vital part of our reporting division. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing detailed financial reports for the Chief Financial Officer, serving the Management Committee and AXA Group. Your contributions will be crucial in enhancing and automating reporting processes, including assisting in the establishment of a centralized data repository for all reported information and the automation of existing reports utilizing Power BI.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring that both automated and manual controls are effectively implemented, as well as working towards the improvement of financial reporting consistency across various functions. You will have the authority to identify discrepancies and propose enhancements to elevate the quality and efficiency of our reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee the precision of core Group reports through robust automated or manual controls and reconciliations.
  • Oversee, coordinate, and evaluate reporting submissions, striving to enhance the accuracy of financial documentation.
  • Create high-quality monthly financial performance reports and support essential monthly deliverables.
  • Assist in the preparation of notes for the Chief Financial Officer and Board reports, ensuring a high standard with minimal errors.
  • Cultivate and maintain stakeholder relationships across the organization to foster a comprehensive understanding of the reporting framework.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to enhance the quality of their commentary and ensure clarity regarding reporting requirements.
  • Support the Finance Lead in re-engineering current reporting methodologies while working with project teams to automate the data population for the Finance data repository.
  • Establish and agree upon monthly reporting protocols to ensure all routine and ad-hoc deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with project teams and report contributors to transition current reports to Power BI-based formats, ensuring that new reports fully satisfy customer reporting needs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing clear and reliable financial information.
  • Ability to gather feedback from customer groups and meet agreed service standards.
  • Skilled in obtaining feedback from Group Finance, including Finance Directors and peers.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality communication with internal stakeholders and team members.
  • Strong understanding of customer delivery requirements.
  • Background in project management and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of contributing to the development and implementation of effective systems and processes.
  • Motivated to enhance skills and capable of working efficiently.
