Job Summary:
  • Strategic Development: Contribute to the formulation and execution of the overall strategy and business plan for the University of Suffolk Dental Community Interest Company (UoS Dental CIC), while ensuring operational excellence to achieve financial viability.
  • Integrated Strategy: Collaborate with the board and key stakeholders to create a cohesive strategy that aligns with the ethos and objectives of UoS Dental CIC.
  • Performance Management: Work alongside clinical and operational teams to establish and implement effective performance management systems. Ensure comprehensive reporting, management, and timely escalation of all service performance aspects, including analysis, problem-solving, and forecasting. Lead teams to address performance gaps or failures promptly.
  • Board Participation: Actively engage in board meetings and prepare relevant reports and presentations to showcase performance, facilitating informed discussions and sound decision-making.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders, providing pertinent information, advice, and guidance, while resolving complex issues through innovative solutions that align with the strategic needs of the organization.
About the Candidate:
  • Possesses a degree or equivalent experience.
  • Holds a postgraduate qualification in a management discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experienced in producing and analyzing healthcare data, delivering clinical activity and quality assurance reports, along with compliance and governance data.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of budget formulation and experience in achieving healthcare business objectives within constrained budgets.
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders to support the goals of the CIC.
  • Able to influence and persuade others to gain acceptance of ideas and approaches.
  • Competent in implementing and executing directors' decisions and policies.
  • Understands the dynamics between the roles of directors, management, and clinical delivery.
  • Collaborates with managers and colleagues to enhance service delivery quality within the organizational governance frameworks and corporate objectives.
  • Experienced in managing and developing personnel, including performance appraisal and recruitment.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to equal opportunities, equity, and the promotion of cultural competency.
  • Aligns personal values and standards with those of the Social Enterprise.
