Performance Improvement Lead

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver performance improvement plans to minimize Network Rail Schedule 8 liability.

Act as guardian of overall industry performance for the route and TOCs through joint review, analysis, and challenging of both Network Rail and operator performance.

Manage expenditure budgets for performance-related activities and improvement projects, monitoring and reporting spending and resolving variances.

Provide expert advice and guidance on all train performance matters and direct the delivery of the delay attribution process in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Develop roles, skills, and technologies to support Regions in the delivery of train performance affecting processes.

Lead the development and delivery of Network Rail and cross-industry programmes to continuously improve the management of weather impact on the route.

Enable an efficient and effective delay attribution capability through the development of staff processes and adopted technology solutions.

Requirements:

Significant knowledge of train performance processes, regimes, and procedures.

Understanding of rail industry and delivering customer satisfaction.

Successful experience in a strategic role.

Proven ability to influence cross-functional and cross-company relationships.

High numeracy and analytical skills.

Proven ability to lead and develop a broad team and deliver to tight timescales.

Commercially astute, persuasive, and customer-focused.

Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communications skills.

Understanding of Six Sigma principles.
