Job Title: Financial Performance Improvement Manager

This is an international law firm with a diversified business practice. The firm is one of the largest grossing law firms in the US and globally and its lawyers represent a wide range of commercial, industrial and financial enterprises, both publicly and privately held.

The firm is now looking for a Financial Performance Improvement Manager; this role will lead the billing and collections effort process in Europe and Singapore. This position consults with the European Accounting Managers to minimize outstanding collection balances and account aging.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with US offices to respond to and resolve billing and collection issues.
  • Meet with US Accounting Managers on a weekly basis on initiatives.
  • Support Firm-wide billing and collection projects such as the Firm-wide grid effort.
  • Present financial summaries at a granular level of each offices' inventory to senior US Management, Practice Group Directors and Practice Group Leaders.
  • Attend monthly Practice Group Director Meetings to provide insight from an international perspective.
  • Develop methods, procedures and policies to enhance the financial performance of international offices in collaboration with the U.S.
  • Lead billing and collection management software deployment and training.
  • Analysis, maintenance and improvements to individual office performance for billing, collection and inventory management.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of all significant balances at Partner and office level to report on and analyze the effects as to the short and long-term financial goals of each office.
  • Present office performance reports, including deadlines and statuses, to assigned International Office Heads.
  • Notify Partners regarding delinquent accounts and respond as directed.
  • Offer sound counsel and advice on how to resolve such issues.

Candidate Requirements

  • 5 years' revenue management experience in a law firm.
  • Prior exposure to meeting with and dealing with Partners.
  • Advanced knowledge of standard billing practices and procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Exposure to and knowledge of AML protocols.
