Job Title: Commercial Finance Manager Part-Time

The Financial Pinnacle is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of our organization.

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned finance professional with a strong background in financial planning and analysis, financial management, and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing financial functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance to our leadership team and ensuring the effective management of our financial resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the finance team to deliver timely and high-quality financial support across the organization.
  • Monitor and ensure the accurate recording of income and expenditure in compliance with accounting policies and best practices.
  • Supervise the preparation and submission of payroll deliverables, VAT, and other tax obligations.
  • Ensure strong financial controls are in place and effective within the organization.
  • Manage the year-end process of preparing statutory financial statements and ensure review and adequate documentation of all aspects of the accounts.
  • Manage the distribution of royalties collected by third-party organizations, ensuring a robust and efficient process, and providing a full reconciliation of these accounts.
  • Supervise the organization's day-to-day banking arrangements and ensure effective cash flow planning and management.
  • Seek to continually improve the finance function, building a strong and respected support service within the organization.
Management Accounting and Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and distribute regular financial reports, dashboards, and summaries to management and stakeholders monthly in the agreed format.
  • Collaborate with budget holders to ensure an accurate and complete understanding of financial performance is communicated across the organization.
Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Lead and oversee key financial planning and analysis activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to maximize surpluses, improve decision-making, and drive financial transparency across the organization.
  • Collaborate effectively with various departments to drive understanding of the organization's finances.
  • Encourage the adoption of digital tools and data-driven decision-making throughout the organization to support strategic objectives.
Other
  • Contribute to the identification and management of financial and business risks.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for financial improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Contribute to writing financial policies and procedures.
