We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team at Cerco. As a key member of our dedicated systems support team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our customer's IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to servers, networks, and storage systems.
  • Provide desktop support services, including troubleshooting and maintenance of laptop devices.
  • Configure and manage network switches and routers.
  • Implement and manage security measures, including McAfee and Bitdefender solutions.
  • Support and maintain desktop systems, including Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016.
  • Manage storage systems and implement tape archiving solutions.
  • Administer and support network shares and printers.
  • Perform root cause analysis and problem resolution.
Requirements:
  • Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience in desktop support services.
  • Expertise in managing and supporting data center infrastructure.
  • Strong background in implementing and maintaining security measures.
  • Proficient in various IT toolsets and administration tasks.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012/16, SQL Server 2014/16, and Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of LogRhythm for log management and security information.
  • Proficiency in Cisco Identity Services Engine and Cisco Tripwire security solutions.
Working Hours:

The service provided by the team is 24/7, 365 days a year. There are 5 shift teams that work on a shift-based rota system, comprising 4 (day or night) 12 and a half hour shifts, followed by 6 days off.

Additional Information:

We would prefer the successful candidate to live within a reasonable commutable distance of the site in Whitehaven. However, we will consider candidates who will attend the site for the shift location period but still live elsewhere. Alternatively, if you do not live close to the location, there is the option of an additional relocation package (TBC) if you would consider moving to live near the location.

Candidates living near the site or prepared to relocate will be prioritized. You must have full SC (Security Clearance) which will need to be transferred to the site. You will also be required to apply and obtain DV Clearance within the first 6 months of their employment. Further information will be provided once your employment begins.
