About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Diabetes Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients with diabetes and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist care and support to patients with diabetes, including inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Deliver education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on diabetes management and self-care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of local guidelines and policies for diabetes care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.

Requirements
  • Degree-level education in Nursing.
  • NMC registration.
  • Post-basic qualification in specialist area (Diabetes) or willingness to work towards within the first year of appointment.
