Job Title: Associate Paediatrics Diabetes Nurse SpecialistAbout the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Paediatrics Diabetes Nurse Specialist to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Diabetes Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients with diabetes and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist nursing care and support to patients with diabetes, including inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide education to patients and their families on diabetes management and self-care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of local guidelines and policies.
Requirements
  • Degree-level education in Nursing and NMC registration.
  • Post-basic qualification in specialist area (Diabetes) or willingness to undertake within the first year of appointment.
  • Adult Education Teaching Certificate.
  • Significant general nursing experience within the NHS, with a focus on diabetes care.
