Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Service Administrator. This role will be responsible for the administration of two of our services, The Referral Support Service and 24hr Ambulatory ECG service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and colleagues, ensuring timely and accurate communication and input of referral documents into the NHS e-Referral system.
  • Develop strong working relationships with administrative staff across different organizations, and communicate effectively with patients regarding patient choice and appointments.
  • Use the NHS e-Referral system, SystmOne, and EMIS to support GP Practice and Provider administrators, and handle referral queries from patients, GP practices, Opticians, and Provider organizations.
  • Maintain accurate records using spreadsheets and databases, and monitor the 24hr ECG service to ensure interpretation and results are delivered within timescales.
  • Undertake regular training and personal development, and attend staff meetings to ensure the highest standards of service are maintained.

West Norfolk Health is a membership organization consisting of 21 GP surgeries, supporting a patient population of over 200,000 across a range of demographics. We facilitate local transformation, understanding and supporting GP surgeries to adopt the latest national and local changes required by the NHS and commissioners.

Person Specification
  • Good standard of education, including GCSE grade B or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to deal with change and the demands of the post.
  • Maintain confidentiality, and good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  • Working in the local NHS, with experience of working with NHS e-Referral, TPP SystmOne, and EMIS.
