Job Summary:

The Russell Taylor Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Inorganic Chemistry Team Leader to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICP-MS and ICP-OES, with significant experience in troubleshooting and method development/validation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff to ensure accurate and timely data generation in line with client expectations and UKAS standards.
  • Maintain the Client Quality Management System, including root cause analysis, PT investigations, and control chart monitoring.
  • Assist in maintenance programs for analytical instrumentation and equipment.
  • People management, including task allocation, prioritization, and performance management.
  • Oversee maintenance, storage, and labelling of reagents, standards, and consumables.
  • Manage staff performance, training, and development, and conduct appraisals in line with Company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Degree/HNC or equivalent in a Science-based subject.
  • Significant experience using ICP-MS/ICP-OES, with experience in troubleshooting and method development/validation.
  • Experience in a senior position or ready to step up.
