The estimated annual salary for this role is £30,700, with a 40-hour workweek.

Job Description:

As a Procurement Expert for F&B Operations at The Standard London, you will become part of a specialized purchasing team that provides a dedicated procurement service for the hotel and our collection of F&B outlets. Your role will involve coordinating orders, receiving deliveries, and distributing goods on behalf of our departmental teams to ensure par stock levels are maintained across the business.

You will work closely with the purchasing and back-of-house managers to implement stock and rotation control measures, manage food safety controls, and play a pivotal role in the monthly stocktake and management of our inventory. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain par stock levels within the general store will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our F&B outlets.

You will also be responsible for managing a host of supplier relationships on behalf of the business, adopting a flexible and hands-on approach with superior communication and negotiation skills. This role requires you to be highly social, upbeat, and friendly, with the ability to handle pressure well and manage relationships with suppliers and colleagues effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record in a similar purchasing, stores, goods receiving, or distribution role, ideally gained in a similar lifestyle multi-site restaurant or multi-outlet hotel sector. You will also require an exceptional knowledge of Food & Drink products combined with a good understanding of stock control procedures.

A minimum of Food Safety Level 2 with a good understanding of HACCP and maintaining temperature control checks is also essential. You will need to be highly motivated and pro-active, with the ability to act with professionalism and positivity in all interactions. Exceptional administration and organization skills with great attention to detail are also required, combined with a natural ability and passion for purchasing.
