Senior Nuclear Risk Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Nuclear Risk Manager to join our Nuclear team in the UK.

The Team – Our Nuclear Division

Our Nuclear Division is a well-established and growing team, supporting a wide range of key nuclear projects across the UK, from new build through to decommissioning.

The Role – Senior Nuclear Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nuclear Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients to develop designs that will ensure the safe operation of nuclear facilities and compliance with regulatory standards.

  1. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for various nuclear systems, facilities, and operations.
  2. Support our clients to develop and implement risk management programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  3. Perform complex calculations and analyses using specialized risk assessment codes and software tools.
  4. Evaluate and mitigate potential risks associated with nuclear criticality events through effective safety controls and measures.
  5. Collaborate with clients, regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and external consultants on risk management matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) preferred.
  • Proven experience (at least 7-10 years) in nuclear risk assessment and safety within the nuclear industry.

  • Leadership experience in managing risk safety projects and guiding junior staff members.

The estimated salary for this position is £70,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
