Job Title: CCTV and Control Room Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a CCTV and Control Room Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient and effective proactive CCTV and Control Room monitoring services to assist with the reduction of anti-social behavior, crime, and the fear of crime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor CCTV systems and respond to incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service and handle public enquiries and complaints in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared objectives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative and regulatory changes and adapt procedures accordingly.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Proficiency in use of IT systems, particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, and/or case management tools.
  • Experience of dealing sympathetically with public enquiries and complaints.
  • Strong powers of concentration and excellent eyesight.
  • Ability to work as part of a team under minimal supervision and demonstrate a willingness to assist others.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Torfaen and Monmouthshire County Borough area.
  • SIA CCTV License.
  • Experience of working in a control room environment and operating CCTV surveillance systems and radio communication equipment.
  • Experience of multi-agency partnership working.
