We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Casual CCTV and Control Room Operator. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective proactive CCTV and Control Room monitoring services to support the reduction of anti-social behavior, crime, and the fear of crime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor CCTV systems and respond to incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to public inquiries and complaints in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative and regulatory changes and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Proficiency in the use of IT systems, particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, and/or case management tools.
  • Experience of dealing with public inquiries and complaints.
  • Strong powers of concentration and excellent eyesight.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate information and make effective decisions and prioritize tasks calmly and safely under pressured and emergency situations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team under minimal supervision, showing a willingness to assist others and a commitment to meeting the objectives of the team.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Torfaen and Monmouthshire County Borough area.
  • SIA CCTV License.
  • Experience of working in a control room environment and operating CCTV surveillance systems and radio communication equipment.
  • Experience of multi-agency partnership working.
